About our services
Visitors are always welcome at our Sunday services. Whether you live in the area, or are just visiting, we would be pleased to see you. Our desire is to discover, develop, and deepen our experience of God and His Son, Jesus Christ.
Sunday services last around an hour. Services are structured, but the atmosphere is always relaxed. Services are either led by the Minister, by one of our own people, or one of our regular visiting speakers from around the area. Our worship generally follows a theme set by Scripture passages chosen for each week and which is explored by all ages, both all together and in our separate age-groups. Children are very welcome and we really don’t expect them to sit still and be quiet!
Bible reading is important to us, and our speaker will explain and apply the passage to our lives. It is customary for us to take up an offering, but it is unnecessary for visitors and guests to contribute unless they wish to. We include a diversity of worship styles, including material from the United Reformed hymn book “Rejoice and Sing”, other contemporary worship songs and Mission Praise.
Holy Communion is typically celebrated monthly and on festival and feast days. Everyone is invited.
It is important to us that our worship equips us for everyday life. We are committed to the ministry of all believers, releasing the gifts of our members to serve the wider community and beyond for the love of Christ.
Getting to know each other
Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after every morning service, and we invite everyone to stay for a short time for a chat, when we can share the week’s news, encourage one another, and meet visitors.
